Lightning Storm over Grand Canyon's Sinking Ship 60x20 by Steven Love Photography.Originally taken in September of 2019.An HDR composite panorama of a rock formation on the south rim of the Grand Canyon called The Sinking Ship being struck by lightning. The panorama is composed of 9 photos taken in sequence and stitched together. The lightning shots were captured separately and then merged into the final image.Due to the Grand Canyon's elevation storms can form without warning. This location is a 3 mile hike from the Buggeln Picnic area where I parked and there is no trail leading to this specific place at the canyon. It is recommended that hikers carry food and at least a gallon of water when going to these remote undeveloped areas of the park.
