After working with stone in her designs for many years, Athena Calderone wanted to play with the translucency of alabaster. Her Onirique table lamp makes use of thin sheets of alabaster, which allow light to shine through while conserving the precious material. The pyramid shade showcases the stone's natural beauty and unique markings on each of its four planes—features that are enhanced to a gorgeous glowing effect when illuminated. We love the way the crisp lines of the carved alabaster contrasts with the rustic forged texture of the hammered black tulip base.
